LGBT??? What about Code of Ethic???

Is it okay for LGBT to barge in something without having consulted with another deaf people in our fragile community? My answer is “of course, NOT”. I am fully respected for their lifestyle; I have no right to judge their lifestyle that they choose.

WHY? Let me explain.

First of all, NAD is supposed to serve “deaf” people for their needs not helping their sex lifestyle.

Code of ethic is most important factor in people’s life. I have several of them that is kept in my mind to pay respect to somebody else in opposite if I knew that I would achieve something that upset them.

Let me tell a bit about hunting, I am myself a hunter for many years but I have not gone hunting for long time since anyway I went to a hunting club while ago and they have their own code of ethic and that is where we need to pay respect to many non-hunters out there.  If we can pay respect to them therefore we can continue hunting without their angers. For instance, is it okay to put huge antler of moose probably 8 feet across on top of your truck to brag or a bloody leg hanging out at one of corner of pick up truck or a line of dripping blood from your pick up truck on the road.  Of course not, that will encourage non-hunter or animal activism to fight and they will attempt to shut us down. We are encouraged to keep carcass and antler covered well and make sure it is un-exposed and that is the way we can pay respect to non-hunters or animal activism.

Hearing gay community (so much diff from deaf gay community) did a great job keeping their business at their own corner far down the street in gay community.  Their code of ethic encourage them not to expose male to male or female to female made out or kissing in public that will disgust many people therefore they will do an effort to push them away.  Same with straight lovers, they would do their business in hidden places. (Of course, some people do not care but it is pretty rarely to see them exposed in public now).

Now public schools prohibit teaching religious because they are keeping their own code of ethic without upsetting several different religious. It is okay for them to practice their own religious at their own Sunday schools. It has proven that this code of ethic succeeds.

There are so many code of ethic that we should practice to pay respect for many people. Is it okay to protest your gay lifestyle or against someone in particular because he is anti-gay. This governor is entitling to his own opinion. I am myself also against the way gay practice but I will respect them if they can remain under code of ethic and stay at their own corner therefore we stay at our own corner.  We do not protest the right of Christian at NAD or we do not protest right of Muslim at NAD, WHY? Because we knew that we need to respect our own Code of Ethic. Same with hunting, suppose, if shown antler on top of truck or dripping on the road from bloody leg, it will disgusted bypass vehicles. Do you think we wouldn’t be disgust on your own action? We are very disgusted. Stay at your own corner and pay respect for non-gay communities.

  1. Numerous valid points here. I also see good analogy comparing the issue with hunters and how they conduct themselves in public. The key word here is respect for ALL concerned people / parties. Imposing isn't cool. Great blog!

  2. What if NAD board invite Adolf Hitler to give speech at the NAD conference? What will you do?
Same applied with Governor Dennis Daugaard who is anti-gay , anti-Muslim, anti- abortion. That would offend to paid conference package by GLBT , liberal-minded straight and Muslim attendances.
You wrote: Hearing gay community (so much diff from deaf gay community) did a great job keeping their business at their own corner far down the street in gay community.
That is false and misleading. I married to my dear hearing partner of 18 years, we are same path on gay community.
Whole thing on blogs and videos recent have nothing do with NAD or GLBT itself. It is about that Guest speaker with background don't go well with our diversity group that NAD worry about.

    1. lavendar16, I understand that you are gay, I have no right to judge you or your partner. I have been around gay community for years, I know every inches what they have been doing because I used to work next to gay community in downtown of Vancouver BC. I simply do not see same path as those deaf or hearing had achieved in gay community. This is not false or misleading because I was there before, I was a victim of deaf gay who tried sexually abuse me when I was very young. Sorry, that has been a big scratch on my forehead. Obviously, you did not read a part of my blog, I said it will be better if you stay at your own corner therefore I can stay at my corner. You seem came across that road.

As long as if Adolf Hilter came in NAD to give lecture about deaf issues not bring in lecture how we should run Nazis in this community. Dennis Daugaard do not bring in the lecture how we should control gay community. He worked at his position as Governor, he have so many issues that was kept at his office. He was just invited to give lecture about deaf matters not sex lifestyles. May I ask you suppose if he is gay supporter, do you think it is fairness for straight people to allow him to come in as well therefore we should keep the issues separately. Again for your information, I still see deaf gay community behave horrible than hearing gay community does.

    2. Javender16, help me understand something here. To say we do not approve sodomity practice does it means we hate GLBT? Because we have different opinion and view of things does it mean we practice hate speech, wanted to kill GLBT people and bury them? Does it mean we all are Adolf Hitlers? Does it mean I hate you and want to push you off the cliff? No. GLBT people love to mix the two (different opinion and hate) when it's not true. Why is it difficult for you and GLBt to separate the two? To say I don't support or approve sodomity it does not mean we hate you and want to kill GLBT. I've spoken to numerous GLBT. I consider many of them my friend but when I tell them I do not support sodomity practices then they would jump on me and say I hated GLBT and that I was against them and I wanted to destroy them. That puzzled me greatly. What does "not support" mean to you GLBTs? To me it's a choice every person make for themselves. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. It has nothing to do with hate, war and murder. You brought up Adolf Hilter so I had to ask what that has to do with people's opinion. Are you seriously hoping that everybody in this world turn into conformists and agree with everything you say and do. Remember my Bison Jump vlog. Don't be a comformist. Be an independent thinker instead. Think for yourself. But GLBT seem to hate that message. They want all of us to think like them and agree with them. Otherwise you will call us haters and killers, tagging Adolf Hilter name on us. I mean, what does Adolf Hitler have to do with Governor Daugaard? Governor Daugaard has not killed a soul. He has not beaten anybody with a pool stick. He's only a politician but yet GLBT tried to paint him as a hateful man who wanted to kill you. It sounded delusional to me. GLBT is losing it. They're turning into some kind of beast that's out of control. Pretty soon they'll lose their credibility.... just like how deaf people lost their credibility when they wanted to empower themselves with big D power. The same is beginning to happen to GLBT movement. I hope you see what I'm seeing here.

    3. Lavender, one more thing. It's okay that you are gay. I have no objection. Do I want this lifestyle for myself. No. Because I don't agree with sodomity practice. It has nothing to do with you as a person. You see, I have no problem with GLBT people except for how some of you've turned into radical extremists, just like how some people turned into radical extremist big D deaf people and turned for worse... turned into some kind of beasts that has frightened hearing people away. Same thing here with extremist GLBT people... no difference. And you support this kind of behavior? Look at Ella. Is that what you want to become?

  3. You quote, "I still see deaf gay community behave horrible than hearing gay community does."
Okay, Why don't you sign up www.dqmo.org and visit Chicago to meet us. Does we behave horrible than hearing gay community? Come and visit Halsted St. to find out over 500,000 gay people on same street. You would be amazing to find out so many Deaf gay men have talents on their lives.
I am not going to continue debate with you this because you are just an ignorant .

    1. I will have ZERO interest in going there. I do not want to be part of this gay community. I am sure that some (very few) deaf gay are great. If you can keep your leash on Ridor9th, Aslitself, Adian Mack, Ella, Wondergent, and some more of them therefore I can change my mind.

It is typical of gay community to insult with that word "ignorant" because they could not answer to my valid points. You seem also an ignorant because you could not stay at your own corner. It is another evidence of your behavior, you are no difference with those people as I state above. You are breaking your own code of ethic.

    2. Lavender, you kept reminding us of how skillful and talented deaf gays were. I'm trying to see where we said gays were not skilled or talented. We never said you were not skilled or talented. We never said you were not smart. We only said we don't agree with the practice, that of sodomity. Is that difficult to understand?

    3. Holism, That is what has puzzled me. I never state that they are no good at something. I just state that they behave horrible that is not associate with skills or talents. It is more of bashing, belittle, insulting and bulling. I can see that lavendar is pretty smart but still he do not see our valid points.

    4. Lavendar,

Let me rephrase here, I run my general contracting business, if someone came in with a great talent or skill on something that my company really need. I would still hire anyone no matter if they are gay or not. I would rather to stick on his/her skills not her lifestyle therefore NAD should do the same.

Make sure that you get that clarify that I respect their way of life but I DO NOT respect anyone who are bullying, belittling, bashing, gossiping with false information.

Hope that you get my message. Now, do I sound ignorant?

  4. As an observer of this debate in the USA,I looked up ASl vblogs on it, and predominately gays were NOT interested in deaf issues but promoting their own rights and lifestyles from a deaf platform, and attacking deaf groups for not promoting Gay rights. I feel this is taking advantage of deaf campaigning groups who are struggling as it is. Deaf rights are about deaf people not just Gay people. (Who sent me homosexual pornography in response to my support for Holism, said I needed raping, and posted abuse to UK sites), these people need to get their own abusive sector in order, near every post we have had from them has contained personal attack and abuse. Bullies won't win.. Ridor take note.

    1. Good to hear from you again MM,

Thanks for your insight, exactly, as for us as a straight people we do not use another advantages to overcome the situation. Like you said, stick to deaf people and their rights not gay, exactly. They should have thought about how many out there has disgusted on their own action. Sorry if someone send you pornography, They will be sorrier because they are breaking their own code of ethic.

    2. From my view it isn't 'straight' versus 'Gay', it is just that is how these debates ALWAYS end up. The concern is, the law backs those that use it this way. This creates a climate of fear/apathy, and kills aspects of free speech. It would appear where there is an contentious area, groups are forced to walk a very fine line on inclusion, some risk a group failing as a result. Should there be NO consultation of members if the law says you must ignore it ? I don't believe a law can enforce inclusion personally, and I find aggressive tactics nearly always fail, and just create more issues. Holism is one of the few prepared to ask these questions, and we need more people to do that.

  5. Lavendar16, *important breaking news* Adolf Hitler is dead! You might have asked “What about American University inviting I’m-A-Ninny-Jed from Iran?”

Oh, wait – that has actually happened and a couple of years ago!

Supporting Free Speech and rejecting censorship means that *even people you disagree with* get to speak (communicate). If your ideas are more powerful, they will carry the day. If your ideas are faulty, they are not.

Are you afraid that your ideas are faulty?

  6. I'm going to ask a question straight up, I see the word sodomity, ahh I have to ask. Lesbians don't sodomize so, I suppose their lifestyle is okay since they don't sodomize and you're okay with that but not the male gay lifestyle? Sorry, had to ask. ;)

I think the bottom line, we all have our own lifestyle ideology we approve of and if we don't approve of other lifestyles, it's okay as long as there is a two way respect. Meaning, we don't have to support that lifestyle but we respect the person's choice regardless. It's like having a tolerance which means accepting that person for whom he/she is but not supporting that lifestyle.

I mean, really, who are we to judge. I found something interesting recently...that is if anyone believes that we all are souls that incarnate on earth to become better souls in the spiritual world. What is interesting is that all souls are androgynous - meaning they are neither male or female. If that is true, then it means some lives we are on Earth as males and some lives we are on Earth as females. Ergo, being GLBT is based on our life plan and isn't something that is frown upon by the Energy Source i.e. our Creator. It is possible that there's a reason why man and woman was created, however, many souls retain prior live experience..so if they were females in many past life, when they chose to be a male in current life, they could have predisposition to males. I know this might come as farfetched to some of you, but hey, keep an open mind! ;)

    1. Hi Candy,

Sure, I will always understand why those gay or lesbian feel different inside them. I know several gay friends, I asked them some questions and I want to understand why they felt that way. They simply said they felt that way.

Your theory is possible here. In Bible, they described the same. In heaven or another divine, we would gone back to a form that we will never be able to understand or describe how or what it will be looking like. There was a story that someone asked Jesus suppose if one wife that married a man but he died (marriage normally can be apart after one of them died) and then marry another one but he died again and continue for seven more times. Then now who will she be with when she meets 7 husbands in heaven. Like you said we will go back to our own souls. It is interest theory.

Yes, I noticed that word "sodomity" was used against male not female according to Bible during the time of Before Christ, There was story about a city of Sodom and Gomorrah where God decline them as a depravity and destroyed this city. It did not say that Lesbians was a blame but gay is.

So far, we are now on Earth therefore we need to respect one others. We have no right to judge someone else different. As long as if they can stay at their own corner and stick to same issue. It will be a better world if we stick to our own code of ethic.

  8. everyone keeps saying sodomity and it actually is spelled as sodomy!!!!

anyway there is solid evidence and information which is that many married people perform sodomy and many gays do not like sodomy. therefore sodomy is irrelevant to GLBT. GLBT is form of attraction that is different from "straight". actually i met straight gay that do not like having relationship with women at all and is faithful to lover.

every individual has own attraction and appeals. traditional sense man and woman attract to each other which is the majority of the population. small population do have men being attracted to other men, women being attracted to other women, either man or woman being attracted to both man and woman and man or woman like to dress the opposite. there are some babies born with both penis and vagina. this is the world we live in.

Now come NAD into this. all that is total irrelevant and you should not put "equality in marriage" with deaf issues which NAD did just to throw us off. it is a mess. NAD should own this up and clean it up.

    1. Thank you for correct, I still see the same thing in "Sodom", FYI, it will never be in my dictionary.

I understand if they want to do different, that is their choice as long as they can remain under code of ethic and pay respect to others.
